The Young Adult Guidance Center, Inc. (YAGC) is proud to continue serving the community under its redeveloped programs and initiatives. The YAGC serves youth and young adults throughout Metropolitan Atlanta. Our mission is to provide holistic and evidenced-based supportive services rooted in our focus areas of prevention, intervention, and training. Our initiatives are designed to produce self-sufficient and productive youth and young adults who are empowered with the knowledge and tools necessary to create their own success.  Each of our initiatives embraces our focus areas and attempts to engage our clients in ways that align with their needs.

Second Chance for Success Mentoring Program

The Second Chance Program engages juvenile offenders by pairing them with a positive, adult mentor who serves as a role model and a source of guidance. Program participants will receive additional services to support a successful reentry process including intensive case management, counseling, educational assistance/GED preparation, employment support & training, transportation assistance, free health checks and grooming resources, assistance with basic necessities, and skill-building activities.

Supportive Services Outreach Center (SSOC)

The SSOC provides assistance to homeless or at-risk young people in need of transitional services and guidance. The SSOC provides a wide-range of supportive services for disadvantaged young people including mentorship, intensive case management, counseling, educational assistance, employment support & training, transportation assistance, free health checks and grooming resources, assistance with basic necessities, skill building activities, and workshops.
